arp not running in sync with midiclock

Postby ch9527 » Mon Nov 20, 2006 4:08 pm

my arp is not running nicely in sync with the midiclock all the time. what seems to be the problem? synthcom said it is supposed to be running with midi perfectly. I'm using mpc2000xl for sending midiclock.no problem with the mpc cause my delay works in sync!

I had a similar problem as well, though I was clocking from the ARP in via a TR808. It would clock OK, but then it would miss a pulse. I don't know if any of this helps,
but its what I went through to get it to work right:

Hold down the up button:
1. Turn off repeat (buttons A and B)
2. Disable legato (button D)
3. Disable rest note (button F)
4. enable Normal order (button 1)

Hold down the down button
1. enable external clock sync (button B) - For you, button D
2. Disable polyrhythm (button F)
3. Set clock multiplier to 1 (button 4)

If that doesn't work, try powering the jupiter off and back on again without the clock being sent to it.
