Rev4 mild distortion on some patches

Postby Nicolai » Wed Oct 31, 2012 7:15 am

Hi.
When using a high amount of Dynamics/Velocity some factory patches mildly distort. It's not much, but it's not "nice analog" either. By lowering the VCA levels aprox 5% the problem is gone. I left it at my usual service technician. He found this on analoghell:

"Serial numbers from 511801 onwards (OS Version 5) used custom Roland chips. The Roland IR-3R03 VCO and IR-3R05 VCF. The cross-modulation and filter resonance were tamed to reduce distortion and the ADSR decay rate reduced"

and therefor asks if I think the behaviour is normal in my Rev4 ?

Any comments, guys?

Best regards
Nicolai
